Snowshoe, WV Ski Trip - Awesome!! - February 18-21, 2010

When we got to Snowshoe, on Thursday, February 18th, you couldn't see anything!  The air was full of fog that was freezing on everything!  We went night skiing at Silver Creek and our clothes, hair, hats - everything - were covered in a layer of ice. Also that night, the power went out while we were in the chairlift line!  The resort sent vans and small buses on a backroad to the bottom of the mountain to pick us up and take us back.  Crazy!!  The power came back on a couple hours later (thank goodness!).

This is what we woke up to the next morning...........  GORGEOUS!!!!!  We had clear, blue skies all weekend!!

Everything was covered in a layer (pretty thick) of ice - which was beautiful.  They were only able to open chairlifts after they cleaned them off (cables and chairs) - so it made the lift lines pretty long for a while....

It was quite alright - because the snow conditions were AMAZING!!!!!  They had gotten 65" of snow in the 10 days before we arrived.  LOTS of fresh snow!!

Our townhouse - right on the slopes!!  It was awesome!!!

We missed our boys terribly - but had a great time!!  Can't wait to get them out on the slopes - - next year!
